Slate calls seem to work the best for me!

It would have to be my aluminum slate type call. It has been good to me the last few years and I have a lot of confidence in it when I use it.

Rob,if I only could take one,I would be with the majority and go with a mouth call!The problem is I take about 8 with me to the woods!!;)

I use all types of calls but if I had to choose just one it would be a wingbone or a Turpin Yelper. I have a Turpin Yelper made by Pennswoods that I bought in 1969 and every turkey I' ve called in responded to this call. It is usually the 1st call I use and the last, just before :DI shoot.

I' d have to say a good friction call, slate or glass. I can make softer turkey sounds with my voice when he' s in close.

A tube call would be my second choice.

I would love to use a mouth call but cant because of shape of my upper pallet.[:o]
When I get old and all my teeth fall out i will give it another try.
Until then its my TRiple THreat friction call.
