Was Reading NWTF Article and it said that in ALBama, Barbour County, the the Turkeys had a Serious problem called....Spur Lock..Cause's the birds to Limp and can't Strut...Therefore the Breading is slowed down to almost 95% only the Jakes are doing the breading and the they are really concerned. The population is going to be lower than ever. No season in Barbour County next year. IT HAS BEEN POSTED IN THE LOCAL PAPERS THAT OUT OF STATE HUNTERS CAN TAKE A HEN (ONE) (ONLY) Has anyone else seen this?

I've just searched through the NWTF website and even googled "spur lock" and couldn't find anything about it. Nor have I heard anybody else mention it. I'm not doubting your word, but do you havea reference that I can check into?

I don't know if I could've moved out of Dothan. There are a TON of birds down that way. I know a guy that lives in Ozark and I've gone down there a couple of times. It's incredible how many birds you will hear gobble on any given morning.

Thanks guys. Let's see if he'll be ready when the season opens. The guy that has some land that joins this land has seen three longbeards by themselves. I figure this guy is the boss gobbler and has been kicking thier tales. I just bought the Ol'Tom Cassanova decoy and plan on seeing if he will draw him out come two weeks from now.

You got my Fife,...
it was good too. It didn't make any sense, but sometimes these birds don't. You got me almost as good as when some member of my church spread rye grass seed in my front yard at Christmas this year. I had a beautiful green patch in the middle of my brown centipede that spelled "Roll Tide." Being an Auburn Alumnus, they got me good. Thanks for having some fun! I need something to break up my impatience. Thanks!
