I have had one for 3 years and it works great. I got mine for $380 on sale but I think they were running about $400 list price. I don't know if prices have gone up. I can't compare it to the 870 because I have not shot one. One thing that the Nova has that I believe is unique is a factory made recoil reducer (which costs extra)that really works when it comes to reducing the kick from those 3.5 inch shells.

apples to apples, novas are bout 150.00 more maybe? i had a rem 870 that i didnt shoot well so i got a nova. i shoot it alot better (probably just because of the fit) i really like it. novas got some goodies that rems dont but go take a look at one. i think they are equally good guns. put one in each hand and make up your mind. i paid 465.00 for mine, realtree camo, 28" barrel, 3 chokes and a box.

I paid $324.00 for my Nova with the camo and the black sells for $274.00 . That is the everyday price for the Benelli Nove at a local gun store .The 870 runs just a bit more on the everyday price . If you live in Oregon that would be at the BiMart stores .
