IMHO there awesome!If you have scouted the birds and know there pattern a blind(we use ameri-steps)are sweet.The birds just think there another peice of furniture,they keep you dry and out of the wind,and best of all you can move in one,for a bowhunter its just the ticket to get drawn without being seen.Most of them come with a blackout lining as background and if you stay back inside away from the window they cannot see you.Many come with shoot threw mesh(bow)of which stays closed and you can move at your leisure.I guide many older folks who have a hard time sitting still for lengths at a time and a blind helps them stay comfortable as well as wiggily kids.You dont neccassarily have to have a blind set-up on an ambush point either,I've called many birds to easy gun and bowrange calling out of my blind in an area I know there are birds!There a great tool inmo in helping to stay in the woods longer to hunt....
