A friend of mine dropped dead in his tracks this past weekend and saw a huge flock of turkeys (his first encounter) on a country road while driving to some public land to hunt some wascly little rabbits. I've heard of this particular flock before but never seen them so I decided to drive out from the big city and see them. They were all hens, everywhere, the farmers field, backyard, boulevard and in his tree lot. There were no jakes and gobblers to be found in any of the general area. I took some pics but they came out poor due to the distance, grey skies, and snow cover. Any how seeing my first winter flock has me all charged up for spring. Take a peek at the 4 photos.

I've seen a number of Gobblers in the past couple of days, seems to be out Collingwood / Meaford way. The birds are hanging around grape vines and apple trees.Great pics...BT
