Yankee, good reply!! Correct me if I'm wrong here guys, but I do believe that the newer 835's already come "Back-Bored" and "Ported" right from the factory. Other than getting yourself a custom choke tube, having the forcing cone lengthened is the only other option that I would suggest having done.

Years ago I sent a gun tyo marc Bansner.I had the barrel cut down to 21" and rechoked.This was in the days before(TURKEY GUNS) were available from the factory.From what I've seen todays Turkey guns shoot pretty dang good.The biggest thing in my opinion is matchin the right shells to the gun.

..they will put a nice shine,or polish inside the barrel
it will help this gun %%%100 percent,that is all it needs
but first i sugest a Comp-N-Choke..it did the trick for
mine...good luck....

good question...i got my turkey gun as a birthday present from my dad and it shots better than any gun ive seen yet...this year i will count the pellets and tell you guys...but at 20yds a paper plate was pretty tore up...at 15 i bet a turkey wouldnt have head if i shot..and 20 it would be pretty messed up...35 it patterend better than my mossberg 500 did at 20! the mossberg had like 8 hits in the kill zone...my gun now is a 870 express mag turkey gun with a 21 inch barrel and the extended remington extra full choke..i dont need no 3 1/2 inch shell!! i cant wait to goto a turkey shoot and rock them old guys worlds!(im 15 most any guy is older lol) i didnt make it this year...i doubt my gun can get much better and if it was id have to scope it so i can shoot it like a rifle...but if oyurs is patterning bad with everything im sure the mods can only help...good luck
