My buddy told me a real funny story I would like to share.
He works for a golf course development consulting company and was doing a site visit with two of the property owners two springs ago. About 300 yards away in the corner of a field was a tom turkey displayed in full strut. Everyone thought it was an awesome display and my bud took out his camera to take a couple of pictures. The tom slowly walked and strut towards them. My buddy thought it was fantastic as he was getting some good snaps. The tom then gobbled, dropped strut and charged the three individuals. The three were frazzled and ran into three seperate directions. The tom was in hot pursuit of one of the men and attacked by pouncing on him and trying to spur him. All the poor guy could do was take a couple of swings in the air while covering his face. Of course the other two eventually scared the bird off him. About a week later a police officer buddy of mine that works that area reported to a call of a homeless person being attacked by a turkey. He thinks its the same tom as the two incidents were about a mile away.

Does anyone have any funny turkey stories of their own to share?

TR heres one for ya!Last spring one of the local guides around these parts had a client that had a successful morning and as they returned to the hunting lodge we were all out front on the porch watching them drive in the driveway!As the truck came to a park not only did they get out of the truck but the turkey did too,in fact right over the tailgate and down the road!The bird was eventually recovered but you should of seen the look on there faces when we yelled at them &quot;hey your turkeys running down the road&quot;!! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
