Spring is coming, thats for sure. I just found a bunch of cheap turkey stuff today on the Wing Supply website that I just had to have .

Grouse drumming is one of my favorite things about spring too (the drumming is much more pleasant than the sound they make when you're hunting them and they rocket out from under your feet, my Dad calls them "feathered jets&quot. They remain one of my favorite things to hunt in the fall.

My five favorite spring "things" would be, in order:
1) Turkeys (duh)
2) Morel mushrooms
3) pre-spawn channel catfish
4) blooming Dogwoods
5) emerging Mayapples

I'm fond of saying things like, "...as a hunter, I could skip the Winter and Summer seasons...", but you know, if we didn't have to wait for the gobbling turkeys of spring and the rutting bucks of fall, I don't think we'd apprecicate them as much.
