RE: Favorite Mouth and Slate Call??
Blodgett Game calls (slate or glass) is my all-time favorite....but they stopped making them a couple years ago. If you can find one - grab it. In anyone has one their interested in selling, please let me know.

Wojo you use it on the slate surface. It helps ruff it up so the striker has something basically to strike lol[8D]
Good Question! Okay so quaker mouth calls and maybe the GPS. What quaker boy mouth calls though? I know there are quiet a few.
Thanks yall

RE: Favorite Mouth and Slate Call??
I just have some H.S. Strut dual calls set with a DVD that I got at Wal-Mart, it must suck, since I haven't seen it listed here, at least I learned how to use a mouth call with the calls I have, haven't used them hunting, though.
The Knight & Hale sounds good to me for mouth calls, which Knight & Hale was lots of people raving about?
And Quaker Boy GPS is a slate call, sounds like I'll have to try those out sometime.

No it is actually a call designed by Jimmy Pate of Louisiana. I was trying to find more info on it but I will have to do some more research. It is a small adjustable box with a slate that can make numerous piches to sound like more than one bird. Here is a picture from the package. If I can find a number or web I will post it later.

My favorite mouth call is Quaker Boy's Old Boss Hen. My favorite production pot type call is Primos Power Crystal. A good easy to use pot type call for a beginner is Knight & Hale's Ol' Yeller. I'm sure there are more expensive calls out there that sound sweet, but the turkeys seem to like this stuff just fine
