With all the surfaces available these days to the hunter,I was just wondering what everyones favorite all around striker or peg that you use on a consistent bases?I really like the way an acrylic striker sounds on almost all my surfaces. How about you?

I like plain old hickory for versatility. I run carbon strikers I make myself on my glass call when I'm prospecting. The striker that came with the Blodgett call I just bought might be the best I've ever used. It's made from laminated maple and has a mushroomed tip which makes it incredibly consistent and easy to control.

Ever get a pleasant surprise? I own about 2 dozen strikers and always carried 4 or 5 while huntin.A couple years back a guy told me to try a MysticStick by Woods Wise.He said it would be the only striker I would ever need.I'm a skeptic when it comes to new turkey items but I just gotta try em.I mostly bought it for them wet days but I like it so much I've been using it about 90% of the time.

my favorite is a acrylic striker on a aluminum call. 2nd favorite is a carbon striker on a slate call. for me, wood strikers are not dependable because of moisture. most important though, the solid strikers work best for me.

If I could only have one striker, it would be purple heart.

I would have to say the mystic stick by woodwise. The striker makes all your calls sound great. You don't even have to sand your calls if you don't want to.
