Strutting Tom
#1
Tonight me and the wife took a cruise to look at some property were thinking of buying and low and behold as I drive past my turkey honeyhole there is a strutting Tom not 30 yards from my set up tree.He has 6 hens with hen. Darn the luck. Hehad been so close this year and I never got a good shot opportunity on him and he's a biggin. Oh well he'll be there next year.Who would have though he would still be strutting this late. But my toms here at home are still strutting as well.

Funny how that can happen. If he was on the property your thinking about purchasing that would seal the deal for me!!!
Hopefully those hens will produce and your "honeyhole"will be ringing with gobbles this next spring!!

i hear ya about the late strutting. was a weird season because it seemed like the weather and the birds were all messed up. i've seen some very late strutters here as well. also, heard other hunters say they were seeing poults at the end of may while the season was still going. pretty crazy
