License Fee Survey
I am curious what it costs in your state to Turkey hunt. Is it part of the general license, is there an additional stamp?? Pa is thinking of adding a turkey stamp ($5) and wanted to see how other states were set up.
In Pa, here is the breakdown:
Resident General License (Ages 17-64) $20.00
This includes 1 Antlered Deer, 1 Spring Gobbler, & 1 Fall turkey (either Sex) along with Small game (rabbits, pheasant, grouse, etc.)

Here in Calif as follows; Resident license,$29.95
non residentlicense,$104.50
plus you must have a upland gamebird stamp attached in it's proper place on your hunting license,$6.30 No tag system implemented here in Calif. This allows the perspective hunter to have the opportunity to harvest 3 gobblers in the spring with a visible beard and one fall bird either sex.

Minnesota has a 3.00 dollar application fee, license is $18.00 for residents and $73.00 for nonresidents. It's good for 1 bearded bird for the spring season. You also need a $5.00 turkey stamp.Totals up to $26.00 for residents, and $81.00 for nonresidents.

Here in Ohio, It's 16 bucks for a small game license (must have this license to buy tags) plus 20 bucks for a spring turkey tag, plus 20 more for a fall turkey tag, plus another 20 for an either sex deer tag.( you can also buy an antlerless tag for some counties for another 20 bucks. Notice a trend here?

RE: License Fee Survey
In Maine the season big game is $19. This gives you one deer buck (or doe with permit), one bear (extra $5 permit if hunting outside of deer season), upland and small game ($15 pheasant stamp in lowest two counties), turkey if you are drawn for a tag ($5 application fee), moose if you are drawn for the lottery ($5 minimum application fee). Double all permit application fees for out of state hunters. Out of state license $85. All fees will be going up substantially next year.

In Virginia, it's 12.50 for resident hunting licenses, 12.50 for big game tag, 3 deer, 3 turkey, 1 bear. National Forest stamp is $3 and some counties have a 1 to 5 dollar damage stamp.
In Tennessee we have a sportsman license that $101 and it covers everything, fishing and special draw hunts too.

In Hawaii a hunting license is $15 for res. and $100 for non-res, price incl. a $5 conservation stamp. Currently spring turkey tags are free with a valid license...just gotta go get'em. The '02-'03 season will see increases (and application fees for specific hunts such as Lanai Axis, Na Pali Trail feral goat, and a few others)
