Default Is this worth mounting?

I wish i had a picture of it but even if i did id have no idea how to post it in here. Anyways...the bird i got didnt have what you'd call a "perfect, even fan". Some feathers are bent, leaving some gaps in the fan. Must have been in a scrap with another tom or something, who knows. But I normally mount every fan of the tom i get, but dont know if this one i should do or not. It is far from a beat up fan, it just has some flaws in it. What do you think? Thanks

I would mount it. To methe beat up fansare just like the character of a bucks broken tines.

I like bowhunters46's analogy "To methe beat up fansare just like the character of a bucks broken tines." However, if you're stillapprehensive about mounting theless than perfect fan, talk toa taxidermist. The bird I shot this year had two fan feathers broken off and she is going to replace themwith acouple spares. I guess it is a very common practice for them to add/repair any missing/broken feathers. Go ahead and honor your bird and your hunt, you'll be happy you did!

Yep mount it. No reason not to. If you really wanted to, you could replace some the the beat up feathers.

When i spread the fan out on cardboard and pinned it, i spread it out just enough so that those gaps of bent feathers looked filled in. I was either going to go with its natural look or make it look good. I chose to make it look nice and even. Hopefully thats the right choice. Thanks for the help.
