Here in Nebraska we have an archery tag and a shotgun tag for spring and fall. The spring archery season is state wide and starts March 22 and runs to May 18, overlapping the two shotgun seasons. The shotgun seasons are mostly drawn permits and zone specific in which the early season is April 12-20 and the late is April 21-May 18. We do have a fall season but I'm too busy bowhunting deer for that. This often feels like a mistake since I see turkey almost every time out in the fall.

Here in Minnesota,you can apply for 1 tag in the spring,and 1 tag in the fall.Tags are given out thru a draw system.

Here in my part of Virginia we buy a big game license over the counter. On it there are three turkey tags; Two Fall or Spring and one Spring Only. There's also a bear tag and three deer tag plus an eastern deer tag.
