Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Have ya'll ever thought of this??

Ok, I STINK at spring turkey hunting.....LOL....anyway, as hard as them buggers are to kill, can you imagine if they had the sense of smell a deer had??? Oh good grief, it would be impossible, would it not?

Just a random thought...

I'm with you mobow this yr has been super tough been on birds every day gobble on the roost and hit the ground and their beaks are super-glued shut. i had one this am come in silent from behind me, squirrels all morn figured it was them till i seen him out of the corner of my eye at about 6yds as he peered out and saw my dekes 1 hen 1 jake non-strut in the field he bolted never offering me a shot. Came in on right rear i'm a right hand shooter a little tough to swing and in the thick stuff wasn't gonna take that shot. Good luck buddy

If they could smell like deer, I'd say shooting one every five years or so would only be possible if you were a really good turkey hunter. Thank goodness they cant!

I've compared them to coyotes, and I've shot several coyotes that came to the call with my bow. Not easy, but if you try hard enough, it can be done!

It sure is a good thing they don't. For being a 'dumb bird', a lot of people have a hard time getting one.

I don't think we would ever see one up close enough to shoot. They already see better than deer. I don't know how good their hearing is.

We'd have to have turkey p**p cover scents, "hot hen" scent trails and scent bombs in the trees,turkey-lok suits and hunt from treestands.
