RE: Close range patterns ??
After the pulled shot, I was aggravated, so I decided to try again, and shot a paper plate at a measured 25 yards, the plate is a tyical paper plate, 9 inches I think. Same gun, choke, and load, only 25 yards with a rangefinder.

Angus I would be willing to bet you are not an artist for a living. I can poke fun cause I couldn't draw that good, By the way I would say pattern might just put him down

Yeah, I figured a few guys would get a chuckle out of my fantastic drawing,,lol. I dont think Ill quit my job anytime soon to take up my art career, It did give me a jist of how the pattern would be on a turkeys head, I was out of turkey targets.

I have missed 3 birds in my life, all were inside of 15 yards and one was at only 8 :(. If you hunt them long enough, you are going to miss... My best friend has one of those custom made tubes and old country boy made for him, and with that choke his pattern at 20 yards isn't much bigger than the top of a dixie cup and I have seen him miss birds at 27 steps with that gun. Its really almost TOO tight. |
