Default One spot, ALL day?

I KNOW the turkeys are using a particular area......I'm just not sure exactly what time of day they're getting in this area.

Does anyone ever set up in a spot......thinking they'll wait 'em out ALL DAY if they have to?

In my situation it makes sense. I am on a farm cornfield and do not have access to the woods. These are a fenced in conservation area posted no hunting. I've located the spot with the most sign and a dusting bowl and plan to just sit in my blind.

Hunting out of a blind......I don't think is such a bad idea. I can take whatever I need to eat/drink.......and a good book!

Plus!!!!......the in-laws are due in on Saturday! Heck....i might stay in the woods even if I get one!

Sounds like a plan.
In Pa, our rules say hunting must be done by calling only. Some guys take that very literally and get upset when a person sets up in a place that he thinks turkeys will move thru naturally. I just think it makes sense.

rybo.....your state's regs are dicey. I was looking at your seasons, recently, and read that you could hunt them from a treestand.....but you could NOT be concealed by a skirting of any kind.

Wonder how many know THAT tidbit?

I for one just don't have the patience to do that. I'm a "run-n-gun" type. It would bore me half to death to try and sit and wait it out.I have to make things happen. I can sit for a few hours, but thats about it.

I can, have, and will go through hell to get a turkey. Sitting in one spot for hours is a good idea if you know your in a good area that they are using, especially if you have a blind. Just remember to bring plenty of food water, and bathroom supplies.

I've done it, I actually setup my blind with an old spinning/reclining computer chair in it, brought out a cooler and some tp and made myself comfortable, and it worked.
