RE: Help!!! I want new info on spring turkey calling...
I have a quite a few different types like I've got 2 box calls, 2 slate calls, gobble, owl, crowand hawk locator calls and apush button call. But now I'm still wonder which 1 will work best for me.

Well as most everyone points out practice makes perfect. Personally I use only mouth calls and take a few different types with me when I go hunting. Sometimes just switching calls will get a better response from a tom.

Ace,
It sounds like you're well on your way. My bet is that you have one or two calls that you know you're good with, and a couple that you're not quite as proficient with. For me, I'm good with a couple of my mouth calls, and I'm learning a box call to add that to my bag-o-tricks. My advice is to find the calls you're best with, and practice like crazy. And get good with another kind of call too. Maybe you're a bit better with one of your boxes and okay with a slate. Pick two or three calls that sound a little different to take hunting with you. Learn them. Keep studying websites and reading. You'll be laying out longbeards with time. Best of luck. -- B |
