The problem is, you need advanced notice. Are there any permits left for non-residents in your zone? It's a great sentiment but you need to bring it up before Dec10 lottery deadline. BTW I'm hunting in zone 18,and as a non-resident I could only get season F. Thanks anyway!

I dont know exactly how it works but on march 23rd you can buy tags over the counter, last year it was one a day until they were gone, usually it is for season 4,5,6...As a out of stater you may be able to call and buy one straight from theDNR office..You are right though I never thought about that aspect of it.Well if anyone thinks next year may work let me know..

Yes there are kills tags left for the majority of areas for 5th and 6th season may 9th to May 13thor May 16 to May 20th

There are a limited number of kill tags for 4th season......

Kill tags are supposed to go on sale March 23 but if like last year the DNR ducked out and ti was quite a fiasco for the first time ever....but if you persisted you got through....

You are allowed to buy one extra kill tag every 24 hours
