RE: Team 3 Official Thread!!!
yes State College is great, but im glad i dont live there. i would never make it to work. well if your going to a bachelor party im sure youll be stopping in at the end zone eh?? ;) ill be there in a few weeks for a bachelor party.
good luck this season ORIGINAL: quiksilver Wow - lots of PA guys here. I'm a PSU grad (class of '02). State College is definitely my favorite place on earth. Closest place to heaven that I've ever been, that's for sure. I actually might be up there for the turkey season opener, but unfortunately I won't be hunting - throwing a bachelor party. I'm pretty sure I'll be doing a guided youth hunt on 4/21, and hopefully I can get some of that on film. After opening day, I'll be hunting before work pretty often until I tag out, then I'll start taking some guys out after that. |
RE: Team 3 Official Thread!!!
Hagnman here!!!;)
NC season gets started on April 14. I'm getting ready. Got my new choke and going to sight-in my new sites on Saturday. Anybody else from NC on the team? |
RE: Team 3 Official Thread!!!
Sorry for the late reply guys! I've been swamped with school! However, I'm looking forward to the contest and getting out this spring. I'm from Northcentral PA as well (PA boys are representing in here!!), but go to school in Lancaster. I'm 22 and graduating this spring, and currently student teaching, so we'll see how much time I get in the woods[:@] I will be out there. I can also whip up an avatar possibly tonight as well. I made the one I have for our bowhunting team last season.

RE: Team 3 Official Thread!!!
All Sounds good to me guys... 75% of the team seems to be from PA!
Never hunted there... May possibly be joining a few guys out there on a bow hunt. Any luck w/ the avatars? |
RE: Team 3 Official Thread!!!
Change of plans - no State College for the bachelor party - moved to my deer camp in Warren. At least I'll get to hunt (with the world's biggest hangover, still stinking oftopless women and cheap beer). I'm sure that'll be a hunt to remember. LOL
Matt, my sis and my wife each just finished their student teaching. Lots of work involved there - lesson plans, checking papers, preparing, etc... Teammates - Turkey hunting in PA is HUGE - we probably have more spring turkey hunters than any other state in the union. As a result - we don't have the best age structure in our flock, and you really have to be lucky to get into a 4-5 year old bird with major-league hooks. We see a lot of 1-2 year olds, and our birds get hunted pretty hard. Here are a couple pictures of a few turks from the past few years. Don't mind the dates - my camera always resets to 12/12/05, and a few of the blurry ones are pictures of pictures. Last year opening day ![]() 05 double beard ![]() ![]() ![]() This is my biggest one ever - pics really don't do him justice - 11.5", 1-5/8" spurs, 23# ![]() |
