My season is finished, unfortunately I didn't get to tag a turkey. Missed one the day after opening day with an untested scope described in another post, exiting hunt though. Otherwise, the season was a literal washout with all the rain Northcentral Kansas had. Drove by my spot last weekend, right after a thunderstorm, fields looked like lakes and ditches looked like rivers. Unfortunately, we have to cross a low water bridge to get to the property, so hunting was nixed the day I could get out.

I did run across something interesting. The land to the south of the property we hunt, I could see a stand feeder. One day I heard somegobblers and investigated and called to see if I could drag them over. Unfortunately, I heard it whir andsaw 5-10turkeys, but they wouldn't cross the fence or the field between us. Looked at regs. but didn't see anything specific about baiting.

unfortunately i left empty handed just like jhb. sry guys but at least you all got some great birds this season!

I'm hanging my head guys, I got skunked.
I still can't get over how things changed with that late blast of winter we had, it really messed the birds up bad in the area. Last year I was tagged out before the season was 1/2 over and this year I got nothing.
Oh well, it wouldn't be hunting if we were garunteed to score.

Well congrats to all that got Birds and thanks for follow team mates for putting the effort in....here's a pic of my Banned Bird....it was'nt the biggest birdbut what Bling bling it wore....Honkers... 4 1/2 beard-5/8 spurs and weight 15 lbs.....
