I just bought my son an Mossberg 500 20ga. I got the Bantam (youth) model because he missed a big gobbler last year with a full grown shotgun. It comes with an extra-full choke tube. Does anyone have any advice on aftermarket choke/ammo combinations?

KICK'S Industries, Inc. makes a nice ported tube #WCGT560 .i have one for my sons 20. his has the bantam also. i got him one of the KNOXX Spec ops adj. stocks from cabelas 4" of stock adj. instantly makes it so i can shoot it or he can, plus it has recoil reduction witch really takes the recoil away. as for shells your going to have to try watever you can find in your area. we found the federal wing shok mag lead ( copper plated ) 3" 6's the best pattern. (i dont think the kicks tube will take heavy shot) winchester shells didnt do to well in this gun, but give them a try. with your younger shooter you migh want to keep more pellets and pattern density in mind, thats why i recomend the 6"

My wife has that same shotgun and we use her xtra full choke. We tried a couple after market, but then we tried her xtra full that came with the gun and it was great. Try different loads, manufacturers of ammo, this does make a difference. She's shooting Win supremes #4's 3". Here's a pic of her first Osceola at 45yrds.
