Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Finally got a BPS, now I need a choke/load.

Got a Browning BPS 12 gauge today and I'm one step closer to fulfilling my dream to turkey hunting. I know I need a good extra-full turkey choke, but I have no idea about which choke and load to try. I've been shooting shotguns since I was 6, but I've never even patterned a shotgun before. We just picked the appropriate shot size and choke for the type of bird or animal we were going after, loaded them up and went hunting.

I'm considering getting an Undertaker turkey choke tube since they seem to be popular, but I'd like to know if any of you have had particular success with a certain choke/load combo.

To be specific my shotgun is a:

Browning BPS Hunter w/ 28" barrel and 3" chamber. I had wanted to get the 26" barrel, but mine was my dealers last BPS Hunter and the price was too good to pass up.

Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

Mike

driftrider,
First of all Congrats on getting yourself a Browning. I have been using a Browning for a long time and you'll love them! I now shoot a Browning "GOLD" and I have a Kicks Gobblin Thunder Choke Tube in my "GOLD". I shoot 3" Winchester Supreme #5's for turkey and I mean it's a winning combo. I highly suggest you try this this combo in your BPS.

The guy who owns Kicks, is a good friend of mine. His name is Chuck Boswell. He is really a good guy and trust me...Chuck knows what he's talking about. Call him at 1-800-587-2779. Tell Chuck, Chuck T. from Knight & Hale said to say "hello". He will help you turn your Browning BPS into a Turkey killing machine!!

I have to add to chuck's story!! Not only does his gun pattern well, he has one of those Kick's tubes on his Benelli M-90 and that patterns very nicely as well too!! Take Chuck's word for it, trust me, the guy is a straight shooter all the way!! Besides being one of best friends!!!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
