I'd take one if the offer is still in effect.

I have made box calls and had success using them. I have seen calls like you describe in booksand on TV, but have never held or used one. I'd be interested in seeing/trying one.

at my local libary there is a book that teaches you how to make a turkey box call and other things.

I found basic box call making instructions in a couple places on the internet. A one sided box is easiest to make. They can be easy or challenging to make depending on design and methods. If you need something to do this time of year, might as well try it. It is great to take a bird with a call you've made.

if they you still have one I will try them on the arkansas turkeys. I usually use a slate and diaphram to harvest my birds herein arkansas.
