I've seen them in groups through March too. Nebraska has a bow season that starts around March 25th and I have seen and I called in a group of toms of about 20. Not one hen and I still didn't get one of them. They were on the other side of a fence and would fly over or go around.

The birds here in N. Calif break-up usually by the first of April,but not every flock is the same even in the area you normally hunt.I have seen flocks stay together through mid April.It all depends on breeding activity and dominant gobblers establishing their dominance to breed.
