I just bought a new Browning BPS with the invector plus chokes. I haven't been able to get out and pattern it yet. What kind of results have other BPS owners had with the factory chokes? Can I expect to have to go out and buy a custom choke? If so, what seems to work well in the BPS?

when i first started hunting i used my dad's bps 3 inch shell with a 28 inch barrel. i only used it a couple times that first year with the factory full choke. i can't tell you how well it patterned because i did'nt know to. but i can tell you it kicked like a pissed off mule. if i were you i would definately buy a ported choke tube that will take some of the mule out of each shot. that gun kicked harder than my old 835 ulti-mag 3 1/2. flinching will not put the meat on the table.

Bosstom and Baretta, I appreciate the input. I have an older 835 that also kicks like a mule. Don't seem to feel it much when there's a bird on the bead though. I guess I'll try some 5's and 6's through the factory tube and go from there with your suggestions if the factory tubes aren't doing it the way I like. Thanks again.
