Default Question

The terrain I huntis steep mountains. On Saturday I herd a gobbler sound off up on the mountain behind me. It didn't sound too far off. I herd thatagobbler does not like to come down hill to a call. When I herd the first two gobbles I tried toclimb the mountain to get up hillof him. In the process I must have spook him, He did not respond to my calls when I got set up. Has anyone ever called a Turkey down hill ? I just wondered if thisis a mythand that if I stayed put I might have called him in. Thanks

I have called them down hill in the past, it is not impossible. But while it can be done, I prefer to try and get uphill of them if I can. If you think you will spook him trying to get uphill of him, then stay put and see if you can call him down hill. Good luck.
