i love my crow call for locating birds.....i got a..."hammering crow" call i think its called...its green with a black reed...it sounds good...and adjustable from deep to a higher pitched....although we got tons of crows around thats alli used to locate birds......goto a store you can play with some glass and slate type calls since you dont have one....my local Dicks spoorting good has all the calls on the counter to play with....they are my favorite types of calls to use and i think they make the best sounds.......just a suggestion....

You will never go wrong with the H.S. Strut Hammerin' Crow call. Thats probably the same one mauser06 is talkin about. Its only like 6 bucks. I use mine for crows, and turkeys, and i think they can be used for predators.

Just the other day I had turkeysanswer a crow call, and it was all they would respond to.
Most of the time it is the owl call that I get a response from, but not this year.
It pays to have a variety, maybe he answer something in my bag of tricks.
Crow, owl, woodpecker, coyote, ect...
