Depends on if its legal to bait or not. I myself dont and would never hunt over a bait pile. I myself would be worried that I would get confronted by the game warden and get accused of leaving the bait pile. I would either tell the local game warden or remove the bait. I dont think reporting it makes you a jerk. Its the person whos baiting thats the jerk and could ruin the hunting for everyone. Just my thoughts...

thank you and it is very illegal it in the law book. i geuss ill tell the game warden but there is no way to prove that it was him and not me and what will stop them from doing it again. Plus there is like no game wardens ever around you can never find one when you need one just like cops.

Sad to say, but this young man probably learned this from someone else.
Maybe one of his peers or or maybe his own father.
Iknow what you mean on the game wardens they are like that here in WV too.
If the Game wardens would do to him what they're suposed to do to him, chances are he wouldn't ever do it again.
A few years back, while I was turkey hunting along an old back woods road.
Atruck pulled up and started unloading a load of trash.
I watched til they finished and then they pulled off.
I walked over to where they unloaded and dug out thier names and address out of the bags they unloaded.
When I called the game wardenand reported what I saw they replied,
"Everybody's litterin" and with that, they hung up.
I'm not saying that will happen in your case.
But, if it does, it couldmake for a bad situation if he finds out you turned him in and they didn't do anything to him.
It's not fair.... some people justhalve to mess up everything for everybody.
