lostprophet...the new york coyote season is from october 1st. to march 26th. too bad for us new yorkers....(take this for what it's worth) i've heard of that little trick one on one has written of...the nice thing about that is they eat the sponge and go away...lol...dying off due to the spongewedging andobstructingtheir intestinal tract much later...not sure if i agree with this tactic tho....but i've heard it works.

one on one....i didnt mean to say it was a 'trick' as in not believing....i know it works...my intentions of saying that was to agree with you...i have a friend who owns a lardge parcel of lands and does that alot to curb the coyotes on his duck ponds...he's lost alot of ducks and geese by predation of those blasted canines...

I usually bag one a year inside my decoys during turkey season and probly three times that many during archery season each year here in CO. Were lucky we have a year around seaon here. I dont go outa my way to kill one but if they are being a pest in any way there either gonna get A) A large load of shot B) A 7mm MAg round or C) A easton XX78 + 125gr. Muzzy, they all kill the same where im from.
