I think there are many other brands that sound just as good for alot cheaper price. I use a quakerboy eradicator slate and it sound great.

Cody.I have the envy,and it is great.I bought a turkline slate,and it was ok,but the envy is definately better.My friend has a woodhaven slate,and it is just too high pitched,and raspy for me.My cody is medium pitched,and has a nasaly sound to it.When I went to the turkeyrama in perry I listened to a bunch of calls,and the roberts brothers did sound pretty good.The small slate on the bottom made a nice soft tree yelp sound.I am having good luck with my "Dad's custom glass" call this year.The birds seem to like it better than my cody,and my cody has been great.
