Just picked uptheMossberg 835 UltiMag-Turkey. Need some advice.
The gun comes from the factory withthe "ULTI-FULL Tube" choke. What are your opinions of this choke? Should I replace it ASAP? Will it do the job? Anyone like this choke?
Thanks in advance!

It also patterns well with the #5's. I've used both and have been getting very good results with the factory choke. Give it a try. If you're not pleased with it, THEN go buy another choke.

In my opinion that choke is THE BEST factory choke on the market. With the right load it can be just as good as the high dollar chokes. I used to have an 835 and I eventually bought a Star Dot for it that held a tighter pattern than the factory choke, but not by much.
If i were in your situation, I would go out and buy a box of the 3.5'' or 3'' Winchester Xtended range 6's and give them a shot before you change chokes.

If you have anyone around you where you are, might see if they use a different type choke in their 835 and see if they would let you try it and see the difference in patterns. Again though, the only way to do it is pattern it, decide if it is or isn't what you want then research, ask questions and find something you will be confident to walk in the woods with! [8D]
