Default Call Camo

I just bought a quaker boy Hurricane box call and I was wondering if I put camo tape on it to cover the bright wood, would it change the sound of the call? Would turkeys notice the difference? Wouldthey even notice(visually)the call as it is now? (it is a very light woodgrain)

Also any feed back on this call? Good or bad.

Thanks.

Why camo the wood I'm assuming that the call would blend in anyway. It is wood. Maybe you can just dull up the finish?

Rub some dirt on it to dull the finish

Nah - I wouldn't. Turkeys aren't that dang smart. Just lay it by your side and you'll be fine.

i would think anything you do to a box call would make the tuning of that call a bit different...as an example, i can hold the same call one way and get a good tone...but if i tighten my fingers on it....just my fingers....i get a higher tone...dont know what a camo tape would do tho

Thanks guys. I think I'll just get some dirt or maby some ash and smear it on or something.

Nobody has any reply about the call it self? Is it good or bad?

Camoing the call would just make you lose it faster when you set the call down.

The Hurricane is a pretty good sounding call. Not a bad choice. And like said above, there is really no need to camo the call.
