Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag thumbhole turkey series
I recently purchased the new 835 Ulti-Mag thumbhole turkey series and I love the way it feels. I havent got the chance to shoot too much due to weather, but out of the box it shoots rather high and the sights are as low as they can go. Does anyone have any ideas of what kind of sights would be good. Also what choke tubes are best with the 835? It came with an X-Factor ported tube, just wondering what else there is out there. Thanks.

Barrel Lengths
Shotgun barrels traditionally include 20", 21", 23", 26", 28", and 30". Barrel length has little to do with the distance shot loads travel. The choice of barrel length is a somewhat subjective issue. Because longer barrels provide greater ease in "pointing," they tend to be preferred for waterfowl pass shooting, and clay target sports such as trap, skeet and sporting clays. The shorter barrel is employed where a quick mount is needed, particularly when hunting upland game, wild turkey or even big game such as deer.

Ask "Nitro Ray" about barrel length vs patterning. There IS a distinct difference, especially when you talk about something as short as a 20"er. IMHO the 835/935s are THE best turkey guns on the market. But with barrels under 24" they are being hamstrung.
