that is my favorite crow call ive found.....but ya...the black part is where you blow....easy enough....is there another problem?? you can pull the black part out and adjust the reed to make it higher pitched or deeper....(atleast on mine you can...its pretty old now..a good 5yrs i bet...) but other then that theres nothing to it...i usually blow a few short calls(4 usually) HAW HAW HAW HAW or a long short then long series....HAWWW HAW HAWWWW....works for me to get birds to sound off.....
