over all it looks like they're all about the same.... there isn't too much of a difference or any real problem with any of them. you might try shooting thme out at like 40 yards or further to see which hold out to there. that's what i would've been doing today but just ended up shooting a friend of mine's glock for about 2 hours. i guess i'll have to put that off until next weekend...

Yes then shot placement will do the job. I myself would try to improve it and try Federals. Give em a try.

One should take the time to look at the shot info on the right of the patterns.
The last pattern is Federal 3.5" 2oz #5

I should also add that I patterned with the following chokes today
Star Dot
Both Mad Max's availible for the 835
Northwind
Kick's (One designed for 5/6 3" loads)
Stock Mossberg XXXF Choke

The following loads were tested
Winchester HV 3.5" in #4, #5, #6
Winchester HV 3" in #4, #5, #6
Federal Flite Control 3" #5
Federal Flite Control 3.5" #5
Remington Nitro 3.5" #4, #5, #6
Remington Nitro 3" #4, #5, #6

So, as you can see, as of this point these are the best patterns I have come up with. I am going to do some more testing tomorrow and see what develops, I have not combined every choke with every shell. For some reason, my 835 hates #4's out of almost every choke, not sure why...

Ill post more results later in the week, since there have been alot of choke/shell posts as of late..

Does anyone think I should still try to improve on these patterns?
Are 20-25 pellets in the kill zone average, high, low?

Campo if you were to just count the hits in the brain and neck vertebra... How many hits would you have in those areas at 30 yards???
