Well who makes a good puch pin call? I too tried the lonespme hen and the thing fell apart in my hand the first time I used it. But I do like the old yeller slate though.

Maybe you should go out and earn a little money so you can buy what you want. You don't have to wait for a handout from dad. There is a lot of ways a young guy can earn enough money for all your hunting supplies.

Back in the day I would cut tobacco, clean out hog pens, haul hay, wash and sell pop bottles....whatever it took. The problem with kids today is they want 10 dollars and hour to just get off the couch. If you want something bad enough working for it makes you more grateful and proud of it.

i'll attest to that. that's how i've gotten all but 3 of my guns. most notably was my first turkey gun. i worked like crazy to pay for that thing and i'll always have that. you learn to take care of your stuff better if you paid for it.

i do work with my dad but i can only do it win i dont have school and the money i did make i spent on my bow for turkey hunting.

I would go to a pro shop that will let you try the call out beofre hand. Do you have a Bass Pro Shop anywhere around you.

I agree. My lonesome hens sucks balls. I did modify it to sound like a champ. I took of the round top part and took out spring. It takes to hand to use it but now I can add more or less pressure and it sounds alot better...Never goes in woods with me tho
