I've hunted Ozark National Forest north of Mountain View. But I'm currently living in Mississippi so that's were I will be hunting this year.

There seems to be a fair amount of turkeys in the Ozarks, but there is also a fair amount of turkey hunters after them.

Heck yea..im an arkansas king at turkey hunting..i huntin el paso, which is white county, i also hunt around heber springs in the cherokee wildlife area management area, and then im in a 9000 acre deer camp in right outside of perryville in perry county..there are turkeys everywhere in these places..and big ones too!!! where are u from

Yeah...all up and down HWY 7 from about Harrison to Russellville.

And yes, the Ozarks are usually quite crowded with hunters...but if you got a four-wheeler or canoe or something, you can chase them off the beaten path.
