My two favorite calls are Primos Power Crystal and AlumiSlate. I have one heck of a time with diaphram calls, sounds like a turkey with the flu.

I like using HS strutt. I have called any many turkeys with HS strutt calls. I dont use locator calls much. I will use an owl call every now and then. And im the same as you on that one. I use Primos for those. Last year i cut the wings off one of the turkeys i killed and dried them out. I plan on trying that method and ill let you know how it works. I hear it helps.

Just making conversation. For mouth calls andfriction/slate calls, I usually stick with HS Strut. I have Primos locator calls. I don't have a specific box call brand that like. I made my first box call and will probably take that out with another store bought one this year. Any suggetions. Also has anyone ever used a wing to brign them in?
Don't use mouth calls. While I have several friction calls my two best are the simple Lynch "JET SLATE", and the Lynch "World Champion" Box Call.
