Ummm? Well, of course turkey's can fly. Most turkey's are born with wings, which allows them to fly. As well as the bird species. They have been known to fly.

ok....Illl settle this ofr your bet....They can Fly but only to get off the ground then glide. They do not fly like regular birds. They can only get off the ground and glide a ways

Are you kidding??? I've seen them fly pretty well. We watch a few flying over a field and they were flapping and making time like you wouldn't believe. They can fly very well.

Yes they can fly. Me and a couple friends of mine were driving uphill past a feild when a turkeyflushed up out of the grass and flew only about 5 feet away from my window parallel for about100 yards. And we were goin about 30 mph. Itwas really somethin.

hens can fly better than the gobblers.a big gobbler can only fly a few 100 yards befor he has to land and then run.

Yes they can fly.Usually they try to run first, then they will fly. They can fly up to around 400yds(atleast our birds will). Then they will either glide,or perch on a tree, regain strength, and go somewhere safe.I have seen turkeys run across the sandbar, and glide a foot or two above the water...all the way across the river, just making a few flaps of thier wings.
