lol me and some friends where haveing a argument to see if they can fly and currently we got like 30$ in bets on it so i was wondering if they can fly at all and how far?
How do you think they get from the ground to the roost? Wait for the squirrel taxi service?

They certainly fly. The fly up to roost and down from that. They can fly some distance when required.
Reports of turkeys flying as much as a mile have been confirmed but usually it's only a matter of 100 yards or so, just enough to be free of the danger that set it in motion. I've personally witnessed a tom and hen flush as I drove near them and they flewover 200 yards.
