Heck, I'm 38 and none of my friends hunt anymore...they all work non-stop...makin' lots of $$$. I don't have as nice ofa house or car, but I spend a helluva lot more time with my kids, and doing things I enjoy than they do...I'm glad I didn't get caught up in the money grubbin' mentality. lol

i'm sixteen so i suppose i fit in this age group or close to it. there are a number of people my age that hunt but not a whole lot. i've never had a problem with the older generation not liking me hunting. i learned from a person in an older generation but he very rarely stays in one place.

First off, I think the Generation X term came about long before those that haven't turned 30 yet....so some over the 30 mark are part of that generation..it's been coined for a long time. And just turning 39 a few months back, I tend to agree with you...our average hunting age is definately higher than it once was....and now ya'll making me feel older with Maytom being my only elder on here so far.[&:]

I am not an unethical hunter, nor do I disrespect other hunters, but it seems like my generation catches some heat when it comes to a more aggressive style of hunting. Any opinions?

WM, I'm 66 and been in the FL woodsfor over 50yrs. My hunting partner is 75 and still going strong.
We all went thru what you are going thru now. As yearsgo by, you'll see it different also. My partner and I have no problem with all the young hunters that are always comming around our place to ask us our opinion's on different things. Heck, you're the generation that's going to keep the sport going when we are gone!
Just be an ethical hunter, show respect and always display safety around other hunters and they will show respect towards you!
