Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

As soon as bow season ends here (Jan 31st), I'll set my sights on turkeys. It'll give me time to "re-charge" myself physically so I'm ready to start getting up waaaay too early again each day! lol

Not ready yet.

Still working on out of state plans and permits, as well as in-state permit hunts and the scouting that goes with it.

I'm itching to get going though.

I have a weeks vacation already on the calender for opening day May 1st, Also made a Christmas wish list with new decoys, new slate & peg call, turkey vest with built in seat and a XX full choke. retty sure I'm getting them all. Also I just got permission to hunt about 500 private acres with great oak ridges and lots of birds. I took a walk around on the property 2 weeks ago and with in 20 min came across a flock of 15 mature long beards. CAN'T
WAIT!!!!!

I set in my tree during the deer season and watch the henswith thierpoults feeding on the hillside. It really lets you know you are alive. I'm ready, that's for sure, I am ready. Comon April 18th.

Can't wait! I have been thinking about it for some time now! Got a new Primos vest for my birthday last week, just got a newbox of Nitro 4x5x7 hevis delivered to the office and with any luck I will get my Rhino choke from Santa. My hunting buddy and I submitted our applications this morning for our annual Arkansas turkey hunt. With any luck we will draw permits again this year, but if not we will definitely be giving the Oklahoma birds fits come April!

Good luck and shoot straight!

I'm not even done with bow season here, but I'm itching for spring turkey. I just picked up a new choke tube today to try and tighten my patterns, and ordered the Primos Slick Stick yesterday to condition my friction calls.
