Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Help!

my dad and i live on long island new york have been turkey hunting at hunting lodge upstate for the last 5 years. we love the lodge, the people are great, and we both have many great memories there. however, going to the lodge does present some problems for us. first of all, it only allows us to hunt for 3 days out of the whole year. obviously this is much better than nothing, but it is not much. and second, it is not cheap. every year we have some trouble putting the several hundreds of dollars together for only three days. we both love the sport greatly, and want to hunt more, and for less money. i wanted to know if anyone who hunts in new york knows of any good public land, or better yet if anyone is willing to let us use their private land. we are willing to work or pay for access to private land. if anyone has any ideas for my dad and i, they would be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: Help!

My suggestion would be to drive around and look for land to hunt. If you see some private land that looks good, find the landowner and ask him. You can also probably look up the public hunting grounds on the internet. Good luck with your search.
