Default Camo That Cam

I enjoy using trail cams all year round. I even had a trail cam blog for a while. Since I had a camera stolen, I have taken to buying used cams. That way, if they get lifted, I haven't lost much. And used cams have generally already proven their dependability. Not that I don't buy new, but anyway.... I tend to stick in the 10 MP on up. Problem is once you start getting past 12 MP, battery life tends to drop off. We all know those higher MP's are just 3 to 8 MP's that have been interpolated to the higher stated MP. Sad, but holds true for most cams. I always check for the CMOS MP rating because that is generally what they are being interpolated from. Recently bought a Browning Command Ops 14 MP photo nightmare cam. I receive better pics from, well, from anything else. The pics look good at first. Once enlarged a bit, bye, bye, clarity. Anyway, just got a used base model PRIMOS Proof Cam 01 (10mp) and it was that awful solid green colour. Well, time to camo that cam. Dollar store (also available on Ebay) tape and an hour or so later, this is the result. And yes, this is a tested method I have used on cams that stay out in all four seasons and all types of Canadian weather. Better to use an Exacto style knife for cutting tape as it will gum up a pair of scissors real fast. Just thought I'd throw it out there for anyone interested in taking their plain cams up a notch. Would like to see other cams that have been home camo'd for ideas.
