That deer wouldn't be legal to shoot where I hunt.
Gotta be 4 on one side.

which is unfortunate. Some states in an effort to qdma, require 4 points. A 1 1/2 or 2 1/2 yr old can have 4 points on one side, and is fair game. this guy is old and should be pulled from the gene pool to hopefully not sire any more progeny with a tendancy toward a 6pt rack.

Of course the doe can have as much input as to what headgear an off spring buck might sport at maturity, but at least you would be removing half of the possible issue.

That guy has been in some scraps and looks like he ruled the roost at some point in his career, judging by the torn up ear.
