her coat is dull because she is transitioning coats, which all the deer will be doing very shortly which you can see in the neck of the healthy doe you showed a picture of. I would not be surprised if she makes it through, as she still seems to be eating and moving around just fine. Also doesnt look like she lost any weight or worsened in condition since the first picture

I've got a doe with some problems too,( roadrash and walking on her wrist). Looking better, her fawn is doing great! That is a nasty opening but she's still hanging in there!

If you shoot her you will have a double blood trail at least. I would probably let her go, if she is still eating and up moving around she cant be too bad.

This is pretty sad really. I think she looks alot worse in this picture than the first one you posted.

I've moved the camera to a different location so no more updates are likely.

Looks like she survived, resilient deer is resilient.
Need a good day time pic, it'll happen eventually.
