Welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy tour time here. The pros to the Stealthcam are usually the price and the Unit has some real nice features for the price. I don't know which model you interested in but there white-flash models usually have a very powerful flash. The disadvantages are that all of their cams are really slow and the recovery time is usually pretty long. Typically they make pretty decent feeder cams but that's about it.

Pastor Jim is right I have a rogue IR its about 3 years old takes very good quality pictures but the recovery times is slow. It is a good camera for a feeder and takes good night pictures also, but if put on a trail you will get alot of empty or rear end shots.

Check out this web site, they review cameras and give alot of good information. you can actually tell them what you want the camera to do and it will give you the best one for your needs.

I try to get all my cams from Joe at Bee Busy http://www.beebusyoutdoors.com/gasumoca.html
He doesn't sell Reconyx so I just bought my new cam from Cabelas
Whats your budget?
That pretty much sets the quality of cam you'll be able to buy.
I like to stick with the $200+ cams.
Anything cheaper and the triggers start slowing down.

I tried a stealth cam, it was the smaller ir black one, took pics by the way it acted but never recorded any, at least I couldn't find them. I think it's was "The Unit". It also blended in like white on black.
Buy them from a place that takes them back and go through all they have. One of the things I had some problems with was online upgrades, people don't often say much about that. The Moultrie sent my computer in a frenzy, had to shut it down just to stop it. It did take more pics than all the other ones I tried although they were mostly the tail end of things. When I say more I mean like a few more, absolutely nothing compared to the reconxy I ended my search at.
