the common/ground is shared by all 3 ...2 power and one mic...I just eliminated one power and used the common/ground for the power - and the mic -...2 good size wires and one wrapped around all ground/common
a bit of a hassle to undo but in the end I like it better than this one http://www.supercircuits.com/Microphones/PA3 ..lot heavier wires and the same but it's an inline mic...cheaper too
like $25.?? for one from SC and like $18.?? for the one at amazon....(both shipped price for 1)

got this one on order http://www.dealtoworld.com/goods-577...rophone++.html ..it's way cheaper $2.98 from China and free air shipping (for 1)...only 2 leads but it may share the ground/common also..probably has the heavier wires also
