You are getting better IR coverage from your camera than I am. I am thinking of purchasing a Uway flash extender for mine.

Jim.....you may want to wait just a little while. Spypoint is introducing it's own blackflash that is wireless meaning you can put your black flash anywhere, even up really high and flashing down. It certainly has peeked my interest plus I want to see if it has a better throw than the UWAY.
